I miss the wide open world. It was an amazing privilege and a blessing to be sent to the nations of Thailand and Japan to tell people about the goodness that is knowing God Himself. My team of sixteen, including my wife (then girlfriend, turned fiancee), spent nearly two and a half months in Thailand and three weeks in Japan in 2012. I haven't honestly given the whole batch of photographs a fair shake, so I spent some time this week combing through the thousands of photographs to find some fresh editing material. Below is a small glimpse into our time in Asia, one of the most impactful memories of my young life.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the elephants! Those shots are from the day that I proposed to Beccah, on the back of an elephant in Chiang Rai. I bought the ring in Los Angeles two months before the trip, and it burned a hole in my backpack until the day that the biggest elephant in the yard handed her that ring and she said "yes!" Huge props to Jesus "Chewy" Avendano for shooting them, with my edits.
